Do you change your skin when you play live versus when you write in the studio? Does it affect your creative ability or your improvisation skills? Or, do you prefer to use one skin and stick with it?
Interestingly, the most popular skin so far is High Tech - a very high contrast skin. My personal favorite is the low-contrast Modern Red because it doesn't hurt my eyes after a long writing session. But, I think a high contrast skin is better for a live performance.

Hi matt,
first let me tell you, i love your skins.
I use ableton for live performances and use your subtle skin.
however, i have problem to read the cursor position on the clip display.
as far as i know, it's not possible to change the color of the cursor (for example red), so what i would need is a clip display in inverse colors.

Hi rastitkac!
Thanks for writing! I am happy to help you but I don't understand what you are asking. Can you take a screenshot?

Hi Matt!
Here is the screenshot:
I try to explain it again. (sorry for bad english)
The cursor on the clip display is not that easy to see, because it's black and the wave under it is also a dark color.
It would be great if it were possible to change cursor's color to something that would be in contrast with the wave and background on the clip display. But I think, it's not possible to change the color of the cursor. My idea was to change the colors of the wave and the background of the clip display so that they are in contrast with the cursor
Is it possible to do?
Maybe it would be enough to change just the color of the wave in something lighter then cursor and background...
Cheers Rasti

Thanks for the screenshot! You are right about the clip cursor in Subtle being difficult to read. There is a new version of Subtle in the library called Subtle Light.
Click here to check it out. The waveform is now lighter so that you can see the clip cursor better.
