Been wondering why or how it works dropping effects in the cahin. Also what exactly does viewing the chain details do? I see a bunch of "i" that I can move around but I have no idea what it's for.

Hi IronShirt!
I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. For the most part, you shouldn't need to edit the chain beyond what is initially configured. For more information about how DrumStack works, check out Racks in the Ableton Live Manual. DrumStack is just a fancy Ableton Rack, and it follows all of the rules outlined in the manual.
