There are 70 skin elements in an Ableton Live Skin. Right now, you can graphically edit about half. With your help, we can make it able to graphically edit all of them.

The list below contains all of the skin elements in a Live skin. Each element with a star beside it has not yet been identified. If you can find any of these elements, PLEASE post instructions on where it is located in the GUI.

HOW TO IDENTIFY A SKIN ELEMENT

Open the Skin Editor and create a new skin for testing. Change the color of an element to something noticable like bright pink. Save the skin in the editor and then load it in Ableton Live. Try to identify what element is now bright pink. After you find it, post a message explaining where it is.

hi thanks for this tool it's great.
i was wondering how to change the volume measure of the audio or that is being used.for instance if you are recording audio it will be two green lines moving to represent it inthe mixer,i would really like to change them to white.

Hi hikikomori!

Thanks for checking out the editor. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the color of the volume measure. Ableton doesn't have that option in their skin files.

Hi Matt,
itīs fun to hunt!
Seems that clipenvelopes have the same color as in arrangement,
but they donīt change their color directly when you reload a skin, you need to tweak a few things in Live like tabbing from session to arrangement and back.

Here is another one:
*automation disabled
is the color the lines become when the back to arrangement lights up to show that they are overidden.

Here my question again:
could you tell me what
ShadowDark is?

Itīs easier to find
*ShadowLight
perhaps.

For the the missing colors couldnīt you kindly ask the Abes support for some info?
Like Ableton color, that must be a very important invisible one! Confused

Anyway I wish you a happy coding.

Greetings

Hello.....I was just surfing the net and i found a site with a colour scheme application which had really vivid e-colours in it for the GUI. Goto this french site www.3DVF.com and check it out in one of there tutorials. I think the colours in the download SKIN editor provided need to be beefed up a notch or two and are not brilliant enough to mix properly to get anything substantial. Why not have another and maybe find a skin editor from obselete program like ye ol' italian GROOVEMAKER IK program. SVG is a better solution all round and ABLETON have that organised already. I am developing a HMI-SVG solution myself for another project.

Keep Producing! Very Happy
