Awesome. Thanks Matt!
Do you have an ETA on when Live 6 support will be added?
I can't wait to start making skins!

Hi jazzOne!
The first public release of the skin editor is scheduled for January 2007. It will have full support for the new elements in Live 6. However, all of the skins created using the beta editor will also continue to work in Live 6.

Daminato,
I just upgraded to Live 6.0.3 on XP and have the exact same problem! The good news is I know how to fix it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention - the fix is on the way. You'll be using custom Live skins in no time.

Im not sure if this is a coincidence but. I downloaded like ten at once and installed 10 at once, none worked. I went back for the hell of it and downloaded one I forgott, installed it, it worked! Fluke I thought. I downloaded another one that I already had, installed it, it asked me do I want to replace it, I said yes, now that one worked! I did this 3 times and it worked 3 times! Maybe in the download process something went wrong. But you say you know the problem so..

Hehe, again you've pointed out something I wasn't aware of
Live 6.0.3 can handle old (version 5) skins. But if you try to upgrade your skins from an older version of Live (in my case, 6.0.1) it will fail to convert them. The best solution to this problem is to make the skin editor produce skins designed for version 6. The final release of the editor will support this.
Another problem is converting the skins in the SonicTransfer Ableton Skin library to version 6. That will take a little bit of work, but it will keep this problem from occuring again.
Daminato - Many, many thanks for pointing this problem out. Thanks again for checking out the skins.
